A compilation of available illusions and their various skins

Illusions are items that allow players to temporarily change their player model.

Using an illusion[]

An illusion item has infinite uses. After 2 seconds of cast time, an illusions item changes your model, or reverts it back to the original character model if used again. The illusion effect lasts indefinitely, and does not break upon entering combat, casting a spell, crafting, dealing or taking damage, however your character cannot mount up or use the flight master services while under the effect of an illusion. Polymorph effects, such as Polymorph, Curse of the Eye, Druid shapeshift, Wisp Spirit, etc. will override the illusion, and return you back to your original character model when they fade away, necessitating to use the illusion item again. Upon dying and releasing spirit, your character retains the illusion model while in ghost form, but the corpse reverts to the original character model. The illusion affects your portrait, the Character panel model, and the Dressing room model.

Illusion does not trigger the global cooldown and can be used during the global cooldown.

Illusion Visuals[]

Most illusions use models of hostile NPCs, and as such they lack most animations that are available to original character models. The full list of available animations varies from illusion to illusion, but generally all illusions have animations for standing, walking, running, attacking, casting and dying. When using an illusion, the player's equipment is no longer visible, except for unsheathed weapons[1].

Some illusions come with multiple model skins. Every time such illusion is applied, a random skin is picked.
