Arch Hydromancer Lapidis is a human hydromancer located in the Tower of Lapidis in Lapidis Isle.
Formerly a part of a Kul Tiran Exploratory Fleet that shipwrecked on an isle in the South Seas, Lapidis quickly set to constructing a tower with the help of some of the Kul Tiran workers and his own elementals of water. Allying with both the trolls of Zul'Hazu and the ogres of the Gordosh Heights, he began working against the Exploratory Fleet that had established the settlement of Caelan's Rest and cut off all contact with them.
Lapidis was an extremely powerful hydromancer and was considered to be more skilled than even those from Boralus. As he hid most of his studies and his work, how he had achieved such power was unknown, with some believing that he had assistance from either a magical artifact or an outside force. Prior to the Third War he had been invited to give a lesson on his studies of hydromancy within Dalaran, though he refused.
